Two-body, the center of the cover finely painted on enamel with a scene of a harbor in windy weather, ships and boats fighting against the wind, a tower to the right, a garrison to the left in the background, whole against sunset behind mountains, scalloped frame, border in champlevé polychrome enamel with flowers and foliage, scalloped side panels with alternating panels of green champlevé enamel forming stylized flowers and painted on rose enamel military and musical trophies, base centered by painted on enamel musical trophies with a musical score, scalloped frame, outer with champlevé green enamel with flowers and foliage, outermost painted on rose enamel garlands of flowers, 7-bar slightly extending hinge. Punched with later French import mark and engraved with a number. Dim. 77 x 53 x 18 mm.
