A lot of two altimeters A. "Altimeter" Léon Hatot. Probably made in Besancon, circa 1939. Fine, aluminium-cased aeroplane altimeter for cockpit mounting.
C. Circular, three holes for fixing, rotating milled bezel. D.
Annular black, rotating with the bezel, luminous baton and
Arabic numerals calibrated from 000-8000. Aluminium
lozenge hand. M. Aneroid type with sealed vacum, rack and
pinion and hairspring driving the hand.
Diam. 12 cm.
B. "Portable Military Altimeters"
L(éon) Hatot, Fabricants, Besancon, "Aviation Militaire,
Barometer Altimetre Compensé". Made circa 1939.
Fine and rare, portable, aluminium altimeter for military use
with a wooden box. Accompanied by the original patent.
C. Circular, milled bezels, four brass rings for attachment, button
at the top for adjusting the scale. D. Annular black revolving
altimeter scale with luminous baton and Arabic numerals calibrated
from 0 - 5000, matte silvered center with scale calibrated
from 44 - 80. Blued steel "arrow" hand with luminous tip. M.
Aneroid type with sealed vacum, rack and pinion and hairspring
driving the hand.
