Notes

The Brillie Master clock was a French invention which was originally used by the Paris Observatory to transmit time signals to it?s slave clocks. It has a 1/2 second pendulum made of Invar with a ?U? shaped magnet as the bob, one pole of which passes through an electromagnet, a brass sphere above, which is mounted on a threaded part of the rod is used for regulating the clock. An additional adjustment for fine regulation of the magnetic field uses a small metal mass near the coil.
