"Musical & Repeating Flower Bouquet" Swiss, (Fleurier). Made for the Chinese market, circa 1860. Fine and rare, musical, quarter-repeating, gilt metal, painted on enamel and split-pearl-set pocket watch playing music on the hour or at will.

C. Four-body, split pearl-set bezels, pendant and bow, reeded band, the back cover decorated with painted on enamel bouquet of flowers on a turquoise ground. Glazed gilt-rimmed cuvette. D. White enamel with narrow radial Roman numerals, outer minutes and seconds divisions, Arabic 15-minute/second numerals. Blued steel ?Chinese? hands. M. 50 mm., matte gilt decorated with painted on enamel flowers, going barrel, cylinder escapement, four-arm brass balance with applied steel weights, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band, sur plateau musical movement with 22 tuned steel teeth playing on both sides of the pinned disc, at will / play / silence levers for the music under the bezel.
