Accompanied by the original fitted box and an original letter documenting the gift of this watch by Peruvian President Sanchez Cerro to his doctor.

This dress watch carries a concealed inscription: ?Al Dr. Ernesto Delgado G. ? Su Amigo Agradecido - Luis M. Sanchez Cerro ? 6-3-1932.

Sanchez Cerro was President of Peru from 1931-1933, overturning the 11-year dictatorship of Augusto B. Leguía after a military coup d'état. He presented this Longines watch to his doctor in thanks for the excellent care he received. Sanchez Cerro was assassinated on April 30, 1933.
