?Benson Blitz? J. W. Benson, London, AD 1749, "Blitz", No. 03/10, Ref. 41749. Made in a limited edition of 10 pieces in the 1990s with movements and dials from the 1940s, found in a Benson safe after the German air raids of WW II. Fine and very rare platinum gentleman's wristwatch.
C. Three-body, solid, polished, case back with 4 screws, stepped bezel, concave lugs, ball-shaped winding-crown, sapphire crystal. D. Guilloché oxydized silver with painted Arabic numerals on a gold reserve within outer guilloché silver ring. Blued steel "Breguet" hands. M. Cal. 374a, rhodium-plated, 15 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, flat balance spring. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 36 mm. Thickness 8 mm.
