Unsigned, Swiss, specially made for H.W. Bernstein & Co., circa 1900.Very fine and rare, 18K gold, enamel, diamond- and ruby-set, keyless minute-repeating, grande sonnerie clockwatch with carillon on three gongs.
C. Four body, massive, "bassine et filets", back cover centered with large oval diamond from which stem three irregular, diamond-set branches set on a translucent red enamel background over engine turning, azure and opaque enamel border set with rubies and diamonds, front bezel set with alternating diamonds and rubies, engraved bow, hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and sunk subsidiary seconds. Blued steel "spade" hands. M. 45 mm, gilt brass, double train with tandem windig, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued-steel Breguet balance-spring, striking hours and quarters on three gongs with three hammers, strike/silent optional lever by the bezel. Repeating on gongs with push piece in the band.Signed on the cuvette.Diam. 54 mm.
