Unsigned, France, circa 1810.Fine brass traveling "Capucine" alarm clock.
C. Rectangular, brass with two side doors, four bun feet, four finials, surmounted by a bell with a brass carrying loop at the top, back with alarm winding aperture and regulating scale. D. White enamel, Breguet numerals, outer minute divisions, winding aperture at 6 o'clock. Blued steel "Breguet" hands. Brass alarm-setting disk with Arabic chapter in the center. M. Circular, 4,7 cm, gilt full plate with baluster pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement plain brass balance with flat balance-sping, continental cock, separate alarm mechanism strikingon a bell. Dim. 15,3 x 6,7 cm.
