Notes

Daniel De Saint Leu (1753-1797).Geneva and London. Watchmaker to the Queen in 1765, he made verge and cylinder escapement watches, repeaters, and clockwatches, most in enamel or in very ornate cases with diamonds. While he specialized in watches for the Oriental and Turkish markets, he is also known to have made a few very special pieces for the Spanish Court.
