Vienna, circa 1870.Very unusual large oval Renaissance-style, gilt silver, enamel and rock crystal pendant watch.

Two-body, front and back made from two single pieces of engraved rock crystal, the front with Christ on the Cross in a geometrical oval frame, scrolling foliage around the cross and on the borders, the back with scrolling foliage and floral patterns, the center with small rosette, band engraved with repeated pattern with black enamel strap in the middle. D. Gilt brass with very light green enamel cartouches for the hour chapter with Roman numerals, center engraved with a rosette. Louis XV hans. M. 36 mm, hinged, gilt full plate with square baluster pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement plain brass balance with flat balance-spring, continental cock.Movement signed Frederic Duval, A Paris.Dim. 99 x 58mm.
