Etienne Melly a Paris, No. 202, circa 1785.Very fine, large 18K gold and enamel, watch with glazed protective case.
C. Two-body, "Louis XVI", very finely chased, engraved and enameled, the back with a rose with translucent green enamel leaves, a translucent imperial blue enamel frame with gold paillon decoration, borders and spring-loaded bezel decorated en suite. Outer: two-body, gilt brass, back glazed. D. White enamel, radial Arabic numerals, outer minute dot divisions, five-minute Arabic markers. Gold "beetle and poker" hands. M. 57 mm, hinged, gilt full-plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, vrge escapement plain brass balance with flat balance-spring, continental cock.Signed on the movement.Diam. 74 mm.
