Dubois & Fils, (Geneva), circa 1800, made for the Chinese market.Fine and interesting 18K gold, mock pendulum dead center-seconds stop-watch with "pirouette" escapement.

C. Double-body, "Directoire", polished. D. White enamel, the small eccentric chapter with Breguet numerals, outer center seconds ring on the border of the bezel and glazed circular aperture for the mock pendulum. Gold hands and steel counterpoised center seconds. M. 50 mm, hinged gilt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, frictional rest escapement with two parallel crown-wheels operating on a single conical pallet carried on the arbor of a wheel gearing with the balance pnion. Large plain brass five-arm balance, flat balance-spring. Signed on the dial and back plate.Diam. 58 mm.
