Bagnolet CaliberIn the bagnolet caliber the movement is inverted and the train reversed. The idea was to make a very thin watch by reducing the thickness of the bridges and the dial and eliminate the cuvette. Philippe-Samuel Meylan (1772-1845) is credited with its invention.Theurerwas a family horological business. The next generation was to invent the keyless winding system by opening and closing the hunting-case watch, similar to that of Haas.
