C. Three-body, oval, lid and back pierced and engraved with scrolling foliage, the silver overlaid band with pierced and engraved foliage decoration, the top glazed with hinged gilt brass bezel, pivoted pendant. D. Silver champlevé with Roman numerals and outer minute ring. Blued steel "poker and beetle" hands. M. Hinged, oval gilt brass full plate with turned baluster pillars, fusee with gut line, verge escapement, plain two-arm steel balance, brass balance cock pierced and engraved with wild srawberries. Hour striking train with fixed barrel, the count wheel sunk in the back plate, striking on a bell fitted in the back, quarter striking train with fixed barrel, small revolving quarter striking indication disc on the back plate, quarter striking on a small bell fitted between front plateand dial.Signed on the back plate.Dim. 64 x 55 mm.

Notes

The initials "J.C.", engraved beneath the balance and the date 1685, engraved beneath the striking indication disc, certainly correspond to the date at which the watch was upgraded and fitted with the new dial also showing the minutes.This watch is published in the Ruscitti book, as no. 5.
