Double-body, Louis XV, the bezel chased with floral decoration, the back chased in three-colored gold with a scene of classical ruins, reminiscent of a pen and ink drawing in the Yale Center for British Art. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring. Gold "Louis XV" hands. M. Hinged gilt brass full plate with conical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain steel three-arm balance, flat balance-spring, gilt brass continental cock with polished steel end-piece.Repeating on a bell with optional dumb repeating lever and à tact thumb piece.Signed on the dial and back plate.Diam. 43 mm.

Trouitte et MourierMakers of simple and repetition watches. The first known association, around 1775 - 1780, was that of Dan Trouit Mourier, a second association, Trouit & Mourier, existed from 1780 to 1790 approximately.
