H.J.C., Swiss, No. 3292, Patent No. 11948, circa 1896.Fine and extremely rare 18K gold, hunting-cased, keyless minute-repeating watch with "Carillon Westminster" chime.
C. Four-body, massive, "bassine", polished. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and sunk subsidiary seconds. Blued steel "spade" hands. M. 20''', frosted and gilt, 32 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance-spring. Repeating on four gongs with four hammers by means of a slide on the band.Signed HJC on the movement.Diam. 54 mm.
