?Urwerk 103 Chronometer? Urwerk, Genève, ?Urwerk 103 Chronometer?, No. 120, Ref. 103.03. Made in 2006. Very fine, rare and futuristic, rectangular sculpted, water-resistant, 18K white gold and titanium wristwatch with digital time indicated by orbiting hour satellites, control board, power reserve indication and an 18K white gold Urwerk buckle. Accompanied by a sculpted, wooden fitted box and a certificate.

Two-body, solid, polished with fluted front, matte titanium back section with 4 screws and control board, featuring a fine-tuning screw and subsidiary dials for the 43-hour up-and-down indication as well as the 15-minute and seconds to set time precisely, oversized winding crown at 12, sapphire crystals. D. Black with luminous Arabic numerals, 4 hour-satellites with internal Geneva crosses rotate on an orbital cross, indicating hours and minutes. M. Cal. 3.03, unique triple base plate made from ARCAP P40 in black PVD-coating, titanium satellites and Geneva crosses, aluminum orbital cross. Dial, case and movement signed. Dim. 31 x 50 mm. Thickness 13,5 mm.

Urwerk grew out of the 1995 meeting between brothers Felix and Thomas Baumgartner, both gifted watchmakers, and Martin Frei, an artist and designer. Urwerk SA was created in 1997. That same year, the watches 101 (gold) and 102 (steel) were launched in Basel. In 2003 the new 103 model with its orbiting satellites was presented at Basel and caught the attention of Harry Winston Rare Timepieces. In 2004, URWERK began work on the revolutionary Opus V in partnership with Harry Winston. Thomas Baumgartner left URWERK to concentrate on his own projects. The 103.03 and the Opus V were launched at BaselWorld 2005.
