"Lindbergh - Hour Angle Watch? Longines, "Lindbergh - Hour Angle Watch?, No. 28/75, replica of the famous navigator's watch, invented by Col. Chas. A. Lindbergh and Longines in 1927, US Pat. 1923305. Made in a limited edition of 75 pieces in 2002 to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Lindbergh's first flight over the Atlantic Ocean from New York to Paris in 1927. Fine and rare, hour-angle, center seconds, stainless steel aviator's wristwatch. Accompanied by a special wooden fitted box and certificate.
C. Four-body, polished and brushed, hinged case back with inner dedication, revolving ridged bezel with enameled 15 degree graduations, graduated case band, the ball-shaped crown also activates the revolving central dial, the pusher on the band allows hand setting. D. White enamel with black enameled Roman numerals for the 12-hour indication, concentric, the 180-degrees in blue Arabic numerals, at the center, revolving cream-colored dial with black Arabic 60-minute markers and red Arabic 15-degree markers. Blued steel "Breguet" hands. M. Cal. L 878.4, rhodium-plated, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock-absorber, selfcompensating flat balance-spring. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 47 mm. Thickness 16 mm.
