?Bulle Electric Mantel Clock? Bulle-Clock, Patented, retailed by A.H. Rodanet, 36, Rue Vivienne, Paris. Made circa 1920. Fine and rare, early, electric mantel clock with brass case.

C. Rectangular, lancet-top, brass, knurled feet. D. Cream varnished paper dial with black Paris numerals, outer minute track, cut-away center to view the mechanism, brass borders. Blued steel ?spade? hands. M. Brass, electromagnetic pendulum with rating nut, electrical contacts. Dial signed. Dim. 34 x 19.5 x 15 cm.

Notes

The electric mechanism used in the Bulle electric clocks is the reverse of that used by Hatot. The Bulle system has the electromagnetic coil situated at the end of the pendulum and the curved bar magnet is fixed to the frame. A hand-written paper label on the base states "Projet pour la pendule de la gare de la Mure, Grenoble. Inventé par l'horloger Rodanet, 1ère pendule Electrique".
