Minute Repeater Chronograph "Henry IV's Triumphal Entry into Paris" International Watch Co., Swiss, No. 36491. Made circa 1910. Very fine, large, minute-repeating, 18K yellow gold, hunting-cased, keyless pocket watch with chronograph, decorated with a scene of King Henry IV of France entering Paris.
C. Four body, massive, "bassine", frosted, the cover decorated with a scene in high relief depicting Henry IV entering Paris. Hinged gold cuvette decorated with medals awarded at the 1906 Exhibition in Milan. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer painted gold dot minute indexes, minutes and fifths of a second chronograph divisions, subsidiary seconds. Gilt brass "Louis XV" hands. M. 48 mm., 21''', rhodium-plated, "fausses côtes" decoration, 25 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band, silent governor, chronograph with visible work. Dial, cuvette and movement signed. Diam. 59 mm.
