Hi. Grandjean & Co., Locle, No. 34881, circa 1890 Fine and unusual 18K hunting cased keyless watch with independent seconds and 1/5 seconds "diablotine".

Four body massive "demi-bassine et filets" engine turned case with reeded band, a small monogram engraved on an escutcheon "en reserve" on the cover. Gold cuvette. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer Arabic chronograph ring, offset subsidiary seconds and " foudroyante" dials. Blued steel "fleur de lys" hands. Glazed nickel plated 20" double-train movement with a differential winding, " a vagues" decorations, 26 jewels, two gold screwed settings, equilibrated straight line le-ver escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. the independent second and "diablotine" train released by means of pushpiece on the band. Signed on the dial and the movement. In very good condition. Diam. 56 mm.
