Leonard Lapierre a Wien, circa 1830. Fine 18K gold and enamel pendant watch in the form of a mandolin.

Double body case, the cover with alternate enamelled leaves and trophies on a red ground and green translucent sectors, the reverse enamelled with a very finely painted pastoral scene. White enamel dial with Breguet numerals. Blued steel "spade" later hands. Gilt brass full plate movement with cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement with a plain brass three armed balance, a continental cock and a polished steel endpiece. Signed on the back plate. In good condition. Dim. 63 x 30 mm.
