A. Eppen, Swiss, circa 1810. Very fine and rare 18K gold and rock crystal, diamond set half skeletonized marquise shaped hour repeating pendant clock watch with a visible diamond set mock pendulum.
Double body case in marquise form, the diamond set bezel with a rock crystal glass, the back with a diamond set border, the bezel of the pendulum aperture and a star applied on the amati ground, are also set with diamonds. Small white enamel chapter ring with Breguet numerals. Blued steel hands. The striking work is visible through the diamond set skeletonized dial plate. Shaped full plate double train movement with cylindrical pillars, the going train with a going barrel, cylinder escapement, three armed plain brass balance with a diamond set mock pendulum oscillating over a blued steel plate. Striking and repeating train with an open fixed barrel and a visible polished steel work, striking and repeating on gongs by means of a push piece on the edge of the bezel. Signed on the dial rim. In very good condition. Dim. 43 x 23 mm.
