Ls. Duchene & Fils, No. 93835, Swiss, circa 1815. Unusual 18K gold quarter repeating "grande et petite sonnerie" clock watch.
Three body "Empire" case with reeded band. Gilt brass cuvette hinged on the movement. White enamel dial with Breguet numerals (slightly restored on the edge). Blued steel Breguet hands. Three train gilt brass movement, inverted cylinder escapement with a plain brass three armed balance. "Grande et petite sonnerie" on gongs with a going barrel, the striking work visible on the back plate, released for the repeating function by means of a push piece on the pendant. Musical train with a pointed disk and steel vibrating blades. Signed on the cuvette. In good condition. Diam. 56 mm.
