Bovet, Fleurier, made for the Chinese market circa 1850. Fine 18K gold and enamel pearl set center second watch with a special escapement.

Double body "Empire" case with pearl set fixed bezel pendant and bow, the band with a champleve enamel-led white and turquoise decoration, a bunch of flowers finely painted in their natural colors on the turquoise enamelled back. Gilt brass glazed cuvette. White enamel dial with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute and second ring. Blued steel "cuillere" hands. Fine gilt brass movement, Chinese caliber, engraved overall with scrolls of foliage with a free standing barrel, a polished steel train of wheels, duplex escapement, the plain steel three armed balance with three blued steel mock weights. Signed on the dial and the movement. In very good condition. Diam. 57 mm.
