Patel( Philippe & Cie., Geneve, N° 90398, case N° 208346, made for Bailey, Banks & Biddle, Philadelphia, circa 1892. Very fine and rare 18K pink gold keyless minute repeating watch with an independent striking train.

Four body massive "demi-bassine" polished case with inset hinges. Gold cuvette. White enamel dial with Arabic numerals, outer red Arabic minute ring and subsidiary seconds. Blued steel "spade" hands. Fine nickel plated " Special" quality double train movement, "fausses cotes" decoration, with differential winding, 35 jewels, equilibrated straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Repeating on gongs, the repeating train released by means of a push piece on the winding crown. Signed by the American dealer on the dial, the cuvette and the movement, signed Patek Philippe on the cuvette. In very good condition. Diam. 47 mm.
