Anonymous, Biedermeier, Austria, circa 1830. Fine and unusual 14K gold gem set, small zappler timepiece, with a special escapement and a visible balance.

Two piece case in the form of a bracket clock, the repousse front face finely chased with garland of flowers and acanthus in the baroque style, set with small emeralds and split pearls, the balance aperture above the dial, garnet set bezel, a pine cone at the top, the side panels engraved with a floral, foliage and rocaille decoration. Mat silver dial with Roman numerals, Gold Breguet hands. Shaped brass full plate movement with a going barrel, double wheel duplex escapement plain brass three armed balance with a green translucent enamelled rim oscillating over an engine-turned plate, gar-net set bridge. In very good condition. Dim. 6,4 x 4 x 2 cm.
