Brosse No. 12, Bordeaux, circa 1810. Very rare experimental pocket chronometer movement in a later nickel plated case.

Silver engine turned dial with a small offset Roman hour and minute chapter ring and a symmetric Arabic second ring. Blued steel "Cathedral" hands. Gilt brass three quarter plate movement with a going barrel, cylindrical pillars spring detent escapement with a half second beating plain gold three armed balance and a ruby endstone. Signed on the dial and the movement. In good condition. Diam. 67 mm.

It seems that Brosse produced only experimental pieces, most of which are at the Musee National des techniques ( C.N.A.M.) in Paris.
