AS. & F. "Mysterieuse", Brevet S.G.D.G., Circa 1890. Fine silver keyless "Mysterieuse" watch.

Four body massive " Demi-bassine et filets" polished case, glazed on both sides. The silver cuvette and the dial plate are engraved with scrolled foliage, with an off-set dial aperture. Offset glass dial with gilt radiant Arabic numerals and outer Arabic minute ring on a black chapter. Gold "spade" hands. Gilt brass shaped movement set on the dial border, 6 jewels, cylinder escapement with a plain three armed balance. The hour hand is fixed on a revolving glass disc, set in a toothed wheel driven by a pinion on the edge of the movement. The motion work driving the minute hand is concealed be-hind the pipe of the hour hand. Therefore, the hands seem to turn mysteriously. Signed on the cuvette. In good condition. Diam. 54 mm.
