Patel( Philippe & Cie., Geneve N° 47683, case N° 47683 made for H. Pleister, 277 Regent St. London, circa 1875. Fine and extremely rare 18K pink gold hunting case keyless pocket chronometer with a certificate of the Geneva Observatory for the contest organized in 1879.

Four body massive "Bassine" polished case. Gold cuvette. White enamel dial with Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds. Blued steel "spade" hands. Very fine gilt brass 20 " movement with a gold train of wheels, 16 jewels, screwed settings, spring detent escapement, bimetallic two armed balance with gold poising screws, adjusted by A. Favre, diamond endstone, blued steel helical balance spring with terminal curves, free sprung. Signed on the dial and the cuvette. In mint condition. Diam. 56 mm.
