Anonymous, Swiss, circa 1810 (Probably Moulinier, Bautte & Moynier). Extremely rare magnificent 18K gold and enamel pearl set watch in the form of a pistol with perfume sprinkler, in a later red morocco fitted case, with the original gold and enamel key.

The grip, of translucent red enamel over engine-turning, is set with split pearls on the border. The watch is concealed at the end of the burr, with a split pearl set cover. The gold plate is finely chased with a dog on one face, a rabbit on the reverse, each framed by split pearls. The barrel of blue enamel is decorated with paillonne designs simulating a damascene work. The perfume is spread through the pistils of a gold lotus flower with enamelled petals (very slightly restored), shooted out of the barrel, released by the percussion of the hammer, when the trigger is depressed. White enamel dial with Breguet numerals. Gold "poker" hands. Gilt brass movement, Hessen caliber with the barrel passing through the back plate, cylinder escapement with a plain gilt brass three armed balance with a steel endpiece. In very good condition. Dim. 111 x 55 mm.
