Snd. Mercier a Geneve, Horloger Brevete de sa Mageste Britanique, circa 1860. Fine 18K gold half hunting cased quarter repeating independent center second watch with hour and minute recorder and double calendar.

Four body massive "demi-bassine et filets" engine-turned case (slightly worn), with reeded band, a monogram engraved on the back, black enamelled numerals around the small offset dial aperture. Gold cuvette. White enamel dial with a small Roman chapter for hours and minutes, symmetrical Roman chapter for the hour and minute register, outer independent second ring, subsidiary dials for the days of the week and the dates. Blued steel Breguet hands. Gilt brass 19? double train movement with going barrels wound separately, 28 jewels, equilibrated straight line escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Repeating on gongs by means of a slide on the band. The independent second train with a bolt on the band. Signed on the dial, the cuvette and the movement. In good condition. Diam. 50 mm.
