A Monsieur Dunand Watch No. 4273, completed on 19 September 1882, sold 22 November 1889, for the sum of 4000 Francs. Gold hunting-cased keyless watch with minuterepeating, perpetual calendar, phases of the moon and chronograph.
Case: 18ct.,pink, four body polished, tiemibassine carrure plate form. Gold cuvette signed: "Breguet
No.4273".
Dial: White enamel, with Roman hour numerals, minute and chronograph rings with Arabic
numerals, small subsidiary dials for days of the
week(hairline), months of the four year bissextile
cycle and the date, subsidiary seconds with
aperture for the phase and age of the moon. Gold
poires hands.
Movement: Gilt brass, 19"', three-quarter plate caliber, ébauche by Audemars, 29 jewels,
counterpoised adjustable straight line lever
escapement, cut bimetallic balance. Blued-steel
Breguet balance spring. Chronograph mechanism
visible on the back plate, the push-piece on the
band. Repeating on gongs with slide in the band.
In very good condition.
