A Monsieur Anchorena Clock No. 4742, completed on 30 November 1923, sold on 21 August 1926, for the sum of 3000 Francs. "Art Déco" amboina wood "pendule de bureau" with "grande" and "petite sonnerie" striking, repeating and alarm.
Case: Veneered on all sides, with sliding back
panel and supported on four chased gilt bronze
feet.
Dial: Engine-turned silver, signed: "Breguet, No.
4742", with radiumed Arabic numerals.
Skeletonised radiumed hands. Reeded gilt brass
bezel.
Movement: Eight day, with rectangular plates,
two trains, the back plate signed: "Breguet, No.
4742", the horizontal platform with straight line
lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance. Bluedsteel
Breguet balance spring. Grande/petite
sonnerie striking, alarm and flush push-button
operated repeating on two gongs. Small white
enamel alarm regulating dial on the back plate.
Grande/petite and sonnerie/silence selection lever
under the movement.
In very good condition.
