A Monsieur Blanchet Watch No. 3101, taken into stock on 19 April 1817,and sold on 7 January 1836, for the sum of 400 Francs. Gold watch with alarm, quarter-repeating and " Robin" escapement. Original red leather fitted case.
Case: 18 ct., four body, collier form, by Tavernier, engine-turned ii grains d'orge. Gold cuvette
signed: "Breguet, Horloger de la Marine Royale,
No. 3101".
Dial: White enamel, by Lucar, signed: "Breguet et Fils", with Breguet numerals and secret signature
beneath "12". Blued-steel Breguet hands.
Movement: Gilt brass, 20"', full plate caliber,
signed: "Breguet, No.3101", the back plate
relieved for the free standing barrel, with Robin's
escapement. Three-arm plain brass balance, with
17(7170111h° On the top pivot. Blued-steel flat
balance wring with bimetallic compensation curb
on the regulator. Alarm and repeating on gongs
with pull-twist piston in the pendant.
In very good condition.
