Case: 18 ct., three body, quatre baguettes form, by Tavernier, No. 119, Engine-turned à rains d'orge. Gold cuvette signed: "Breguet, No. 206".
Dial: Engine-turned silver, protected by a glazed bezel, and signed: "Breguet", with Roman numerals on a plain reserve, and secret signatures on either side of "XII". Blued-steel Breguet hands.
Movement: Gilt brass, 18"', bar caliber, signed: " Breguet, No. 206", with ruby cylinder escapement, three-arm plain brass balance with parachute on the top pivot. Blued-steel flat balance spring with bimetallic compensation curb on the regulator.
In good condition. Diam. 52mm.

Notes

History: Bought back from Monsieur Rigaud on 15 January 1839 for 1000 Francs, this watch was resold on 17 September 1840 to a Monsieur Pierre Lalanne de Bayonne, for the sum of 1450 Francs. Bought back again, it was subsequently resold for 650 Francs to Henri Moser & Cie., Breguet's agent in Moscow at the time.
