A Monsieur le Compte Wladimir Komar Carriage clock No. 5017, manufactured between 1831 and 1832, sold on 11 June 1853, for the sum of 4000 Francs. Gilt bronze carriage clock with "grande" and " petite" sonnerie, quarter-repeating and alarm with calendar. Original tooled red leather fitted case.

Case: Multi-piece, cast and engraved with
Corinthian columns, palmettes and floral motifs,
with glazed sides, back and front doors, the
ribbon scroll handle with lion supports, on bun
feet.
Dial: White enamel, by Droz, signed: "Breguet",
with Roman numerals and subsidiary ring for
seconds, months and alarm setting. Gilt dial
mask engraved with foliated scroll work and
signed: "Breguet No. 5017".
Movement: Rectangular brass, signed at the
base: "Breguet Neveu & Compagnie, No.5017,
with a single double-ended going barrel driving
the going and striking trains, horizontal platform
with lateral lever escapement, three-arm
bimetallic compensation balance, with parachute
on the top pivot. Blued-steel Breguet balance
spring. Striking and quarter-repeating
work visible on the back plate, the bells mounted
under the base, with pull-wind alarm and
repeating buttons on the top of the case.
In very good condition.
