Rare and important silver and gold poket chronometer with five minute 'tourbillon' regulator. Massive 'bassine et pomme' silver and 18-carat gold three body polished case. Silver glazed cuvette. Silver dial engraved with Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds and 24 hour up/down scale. Blued steel 'pear' hands. Rare and unusual gilt brass keyless three quarter plate 20"' movement, with 19 jewels in screwed setting, cylindrical pillars, fusee with maintaining power. Five minute tourbillon carriage driven by the second's wheel pinion. Right angle lever escapement with cut bimetallic balance Breguet balance spring free sprung. In very good condition. Diam. 58 mm.
