Very fine pair cased silver 'repousse' quarter striking and repeating calendar watch with alarm. Outer silver mounted leather covered, double body protecting case. Double body inner case 'repoussé' with a mythological scene depicting Athena, Mercure, Cupidon and Demeter, further pierced scrolls and ' rocaille' decoration. 'Champleve' silver dial with Roman numerals and Arabic minute ring, calendar aperture and inner alarum revolving disc. Later blued steel 'spade' hands. Fine gilt brass full plate movement, square pillars with applied pierced scrolled silver decoration, 'fusee' and chain, verge escapement, plain brass three armed balance, Regence continental cock with garnet endstone. A striking train with independant fixed gilt brass engraved barrels for hours and quarters. Alarm train with gilt brass engraved fixed barrel. Striking on the bell. In good condition. Diam. 120 mm.
