Rare and very important 18-carat gold quarter dumb repeating watch with woolf tooth gearing and a special escapement. Massive double body polished case with invisible hinges and a fixed bezel, opening by twisting the pendant, characteristic of Lepine's work. Gilt brass cuvette. White enamel dial with Arabic numerals and red outer minute ring (slightly restored and with hair cracks). Gold 'croissant' hands. Characteristic Lepine caliber, gilt brass movement with free standing barrel, woolf toothed train of wheel, virgule escapement with gold escape wheel, plain brass three armed balance and polished steel endpiece. Repeating on the case with a single massive polished steel hammer and a typical Lepine's repeating train. In good condition. Diam. 55 mm.
