Very fine 18-carat gold and enamel hunting cased diamond set watch for the Turkish market. Massive four body 'bassine et filet' engraved case, the cover with a painted enamel view of Constantinople, Ste Sophie Mosque on the background, outer rose diamond set and 'champlevé' enamelled chased scroll decoration. Similar ornament on the back with a fine painted composition of flowers on the foreground and a mosque on the back. Gold cuvette. White enamel dial with Turkish numerals and subsidiary seconds. Gold 'pear' hands. Gilt brass keyless half plate 18"' movement, 18 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance-spring with unusual micrometric index. Diam. 52 mm.
