Very fine and rare 18-carat gold and enamel pearl set repeating watch for the Chinese market. Four body 'Empire' case with split pearls set on the bezel, the edge of the back and on the 'champlevé' enamelled band, charming and extremely fine pastoral romantic scene painted on the enamel back, pendant and bow with 'champlevé' enamelled decoration. Gold cuvette with an azur 'champlevé' enamelled garland of flowers. Gold engine turned and 'champlevé' dial with Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds. Blued steel Breguet hands. Gilt brass bar movement with free standing barrel, cylinder escapement, plain brass three armed balance, ruby endstone and Breguet compensation curb. Repeating on gongs by depressing the pendant. In very good condition. Diam. 54 mm.
