Extremely fine and rare 18-carat gold and enamel pearl set pair cased watch with four automatons. Double body glazed gold protecting case. Double body case with pearl set bezel, the back with a fine 'champlevé' enamelled decoration of flowers, volutes, birds, urn, quiver and arrow on a black background, split pearl set edge. Small off-set white enamel dial with Breguet numerals. Blued steel Breguet hands. Very fine enamel painted landscape on the dial plate with a three coloured gold automaton scene on the foreground, depicting 'les forgerons de flèches': a Cupid is blowing the fire of the forge while another is hammering the weapons of Venus sharpened by a third one. Gilt brass double train full plate movement with going barrels, cylinder escapement, plain brass three armed balance and polished steel endpiece. Independant train for the automatons. In very good condition. Diam. 54 mm.
