Unusual gilt brass double face Morocco covered box with a watch, a visible balance and 5 automatons. Three body rectangular box with cut out angles. Gilt brass dial plate engraved overall with scrolled foliage, an applied silver drapery and a silver Cupid below an ivory carved medallion depicting 'Amour and Psychée' . Small off-set white enamel dial with Arabic numerals, Skeletonized gold 'pear' hands. Symetrical glazed balance aperture with visible gilt metal continental cock and endstone. An automaton ivory carved rupestral scene on the rear face, set in motion at will by means of a square. Double level shaped, double train movement, with going barrels and flat wheel cylinder escapement. In good condition. 100x68 mm.
