Magnificent and highly important 18-carat gold and enamel pearl set musical telescope with a concealed watch and passing automatons. The telescope is decorated overall with 3 very fine enamel still-life paintings with flowers, the 4th pannel with two Cupids disclosing the watch and the automatons, further ' champlevé' enamelled draperies, Corynthian columns, trophies, palm leaves and flowers. White enamel dial with Breguet numerals. Blued steel 'spade' hands. Gilt brass full plate movement with cylindrical pillars, ' fusee' and chain, verge escapement with plain brass three armed balance, continental cock and polished steel endpiece. The independant musical train with pointed barrel and six piled up vibrating blades, also drive the merry-go-roun of 8 personnages passing in front of a finely painted background landscape. In very good condition. 90 x 48 mm.
