Fine and rare very large and heavy pair cased ' cabriolet' pocket chronometer. Outer three body case, engraved overall with scrolled foliage, volute decoration and a city landscape on the back. Three body inner case with finely engraved flowers and volutes. Gold cuvette with floral engraving in a geometrical pattern. White enamel dial with Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds. Blued steel Breguet hands. Gilt brass three quarter plate movement, 17 jewels, screwed setting, fusee with maintaining power, spring detent escapement, two armed cut bimetallic balance, blued steel helical spring with terminal curves, free sprung. In very good condition. Diam. 80 mm.
