Very fine and rare 18-carat gold hunting cased 8 day going minute repeating moon phase astronomical digital calendar watch. Massive four bOdy 'bassine et filet' engraved case, polo players on the cover, the head of a horse on the back with polo trophies and scrolled foliage, further enterlaced decoration on the edge of the covers and the band. Gold cuvette. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, subsidiary calendar aperture and second dial with inner moon phase aperture. Gold 'pear' hands. Gilt brass 20- keyless movement, double barrel with differencial winding, 32 jewels, screwed setting, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance-spring, repeating on gongs by means of a slide on the band. In mint condition. Diam. 56 mm.
