Extremely rare and important 18-carat gold, pocket chronometer with one minute tourbillon regulator, split second chronograph and 60 minute recorder. Massive four body 'pomme et bassine' polished case. Gold cuvette. White enamel dial (Willis) with Roman numerals and outer minute and second rings, subsidiary seconds and minute register. Blued steel 'spade' hands. High grade 22"' three quarte plate gilt brass keyless movement (Nicole Nielsen with Victorin Elysée Piguet ébauche), 24 jewels, screwed setting, one minute tourbillon driven by the second's wheel. The three equidistant armed polished carriage with gold poising weights drives the chronograph by means of its external gearing. English lateral lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance with gold poising screws, blued balance spring with terminal curve, free sprung, brass and polished steel pierced cock. Visible chronograph work. In excellent condition. Diam. 59 mm.
