Very fine 20-carat gold mounted bloodstone quarter repeating watch. Double body outer case with finely pierced and chiselled decoration on the bezel and on the edge of the back, diamond set push-piece. Double body inner case finely pierced and engraved with inhabited foliage and a mask. With a short gold chain and a gold mounted bloodstone key. White enamel dial with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring. Rose diamond set Louis XV hands. Gilt brass dust cap. Gilt brass full plate quarter repeating movement with column pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement with plain brass three armed balance and an English cock. Repeating on a bell by depressing the pendant. In good condition. Diam. 48 mm.
