Book-Form Pendant Watch Chs. Oudin, Hger. de la Marine, Palais Royal, 52, Paris, Swiss. Made circa 1870. Fine and rare, 18K gold and enamel book-form pendant watch with concealed compartment contaning a concertina frame for three photographs.

Three-body, hinged, the front and back covers decorated with black and white champlevé decoration and engraving, the spine engraved, hinged, engraved clasp, the back cover containing a concertina gold photograph frame for three photographs, ring suspension loop. Hinged gold cuvette, D. White enamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions. Blued-steel spade hands. M. 21 x 24.4 mm, heart-shaped, bar caliber, 10 jewels, cylinder escapement, plain gilt brass balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator. Dim. 30 x 25 mm.
